Anointed Orphans — Waisted Gifts.

“God sets the lonely in families, he leads out the prisoners with singing; but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land.” Psalm 68:6

Anointed Orphans — Waisted Gifts. 1

I was serving at a conference and was going about my day like nothing in my heart needed attention. A Prophet by the name of Kevin Leal said four words that my soul were seeking for such a long time without me realizing it, “You found your family”. While there were no tears shed, or no major dramatic emotions that manifested at that time those word broke down walls that had been set up for years.

Many times I found myself serving my spiritual father as a servant and not a son. It never occurred to me that God did not want me close just to serve but to be a son.  I hid behind my gift and shoved all my insecurities aside. I wanted to live in excellence in ministry meanwhile broken on the inside. God wants to use your gift but He also wants us to be healed. Unresolved issues buried alive never die they become landmines inside of your heart.

Those words, “You Found Your Family” played in my heart over and over again for several months. I didn’t realize how much I had missed the feeling of being a part of something or having the love and acceptance of a father. Scripture tells us that it is not good for men to be alone and that he places the solitary in homes. (Genesis 2:18 & Psalm 68:6)

The family is God’s design for all of his creation. The church in itself is a family of families. It’s part of God’s plan for us that we are a part of something. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and the twelve tribes; each tribe played a different role and each of them serve as a gate for a different group of people.

No matter who you and what part of the world you find yourself in — you were created for family.

There are 3 basic needs inherit in all human nature:

  1. The Need to Belong
  2. The Need for Significance
  3. The Need for Security

When the security of the home is broken, youth feels that they don’t belong, so they turn to crime and delinquency. The lack of significance comes from the lack of a sense of “belonging”. People become extremely toxic when they are isolated. This leads them to distraction and destruction. Bad decisions are made when there is no sense or the lack of security.

The problem with not having a family is it creates a very lonely environment when you don’t have a safe place to grow, you get stunned. All of this affects not just your personal life but I have seen leaders wrestle people while they are managing a department in their church organization. The anointed “orphan” (servant) always gets into disputes with people because they never learned to work inside of a family or tribe. People feel years behind the gifting that God has put on for you to do because you won’t let down your guards and become part of a family.

“My son, hear the instruction of your father, And do not forsake the law of your mother; For they will be a graceful ornament on your head, and chains about your neck.” Proverbs 1:8-9

Recently my wife and I have been going out to eat more and we always get complemented by random strangers “Your kid is so quiet and proper at the table.” One of them stopped to talk to us for a while to ask how we get him to just sit there and patiently wait for his food and interact properly. I was reminded of a statement I heard from Kevin Leal “good kids don’t just happen by accident, the parents have to put in a lot of “ parenting work “ for them to turn out that way.”

I recognize that this is going to be an ongoing journey but it’s always great to see the fruit of the labor of discipline at home. The Hebrew uses pictograph — the letters in the Hebrew alphabet were originally pictures and so each word has a deeper meaning than what we recognize.

The Hebrew word picture for Anger is Where was the father? And the word picture for Fear is – Where was the mother? Just within the definition of this words there is a major revelation of what we see today in society.

More context for the Family using Hebrew word picture:

Father Hebrew word pictures are:

  1. The Leader and Strength of The Family
  2. Strong Controller (Restrainer)

Mother Hebrew word pictures are:

  1. The Strong Water
  2. The Water That Never Fails
  3. The Oasis
  4. The Life Giver

Son Hebrew word pictures are:

  1. The Man From The house
  2. The Man Who Cana Build The House
  3. The Life of The Family Continued
  4. Capable,Pure and Complete
  5. Capable Of Doing The Commandment
  6. What Comes From The House

With those definitions in context it should bring some clarity for leaders, workers and those who struggle with identity how come it’s so difficult to accomplish something. When people are not raise by parents it creates people who are lack confidence to accomplish something. This is why we cannot make decisions based on our gifts. “For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.” Romans 11:29 God won’t change His mind about what He has called you to do. If God has called you, that calling is still there, whether or not you have obeyed.

Anointed orphans create chaos — Trust me, I was one. I created chaos everywhere that I went. When you are operating in this mentality you use your gift as a way to validate yourself. So when people don’t use your gift you lose your value and you start to create narratives inside of your soul “well maybe they don’t like or maybe I did something wrong.”

I have seen this often when people who have not taken the time to heal they will create chaos as means to get attention. This can manifest in many ways but the outcome of it will always be that this person cannot join a team or work with anyone. Working to solve this issues in people takes time, effort, truth and patience. God wants us all to prosper. He rejoices in our prosperity.

If you have read this and you recognize that you are the product of chaos that is a first GREAT step. Don’t be discouraged. The Best Is Yet To COME and God has not changed His mind about you. Be honest about where you are; ask God to begin to do a work inside of you and He will begin to reveal to you what needs to happen. God will go to endless measures when we are ready to HEAL!

This a developing work and we will continue next with the subject of: How To begin The Healing Journey, come back for updates.
