Welcome to Impact University.

God commands His blessing upon your life.  As you commit to reading the word, walking in God’s ways, listening to Him, and living a life of obedience.  You will receive a harvest of blessings.

There are two verses in the King James Version that mention “the finest of the wheat.” (Ps. 147:14, Ps. 81:16).

The Psalm 81 verse gives the reason why people don’t receive and walk in God’s best.

Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, and Israel had walked in my ways! I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries. The haters of the Lord should have submitted themselves unto him: but their time should have endured forever. He should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat: and with honey out of the rock should I have satisfied thee.  Psalm 81:13-16

We come to Zion to learn God’s ways (Isa. 2:3). The ways of God include love, mercy, truth, righteousness, forgiveness, holiness, and faith. God will teach us His way (Ps. 86:11, Ps. 143:8).

Oh, dear people, will you listen to me now? Israel, will you follow my map? I’ll make short work of your enemies, give your foes the back of my hand. I’ll send the God-haters cringing like dogs, never to be heard from again. You’ll feast on my fresh-baked bread spread with butter and rock-pure honey.” Psalm 81:13-14 (MSG)

The Amplified Version says: “Oh, that My people would listen to Me, That Israel would walk in My ways!” Wisdom warns those who will not listen to Him. Calamity, fear, destruction, and desolation are the opposite of the best.

But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof: I  also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. Proverbs 1:25-27

When you reject wisdom, wisdom will reject you. You cannot have the best without the help of wisdom. You despise and turn your back on wisdom.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom (Prov. 11:10).

The fear of the Lord is therefore a key to enjoying God’s best.

God will cause us to hear His voice, and direct us in the right way. We can know which way to go.

Isaiah gives us a powerful promise.

And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left. Isaiah 30:21

You can trust God to speak to you and lead you. God will lead you to the best.

Here is another promise to those who walk in God’s ways:

The Lord shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee. The Lord shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, and walk in his ways. And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the Lord; and they shall be afraid of thee. Deuteronomy 28:8-10

God commands His blessing upon your life. God commands the best for your life. God commands His blessing on your storehouses. Others will respect and fear you.

Return to God and receive the best.

The prodigal son received the best robe.

But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet. Luke 15:22

The prodigal son was not living his best life. He spent all his money on riotous living. He found himself in the pig pen. The father killed the best calf, and threw the best party for him. We can enjoy the best in the Father’s house.

  • What do you need to change in your life to walk in obedience to the Lord?
  • What promises has He given you that you can stand on?
  • How can you allow the Lord to lead you to His best?

Remember, favor will take you to the best place.  You can be favored with the best.  Your heavenly father will give you the best as you walk with him daily.
