My expectations

My expectations 1

Welcome to Impact University.

Having an expectation is very important. I woke up a few days ago thinking about expectation.  You should have expectations.

What are you expecting from God?  What are you expecting God to do in your life?

My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.” Ps 62:5.

Sometimes people lose expectation because they have been so frustrated and disappointed in life.  Their hopes have been deferred so much until they just don’t expect anything. If something happens, something good, they are surprised.  We should always live in expectation.  We should expect good things to come our way.

Your expectations will come to pass.

Expect for your healing, deliverance, salvation, and prosperity to happen.

I decree that you will have an expectation of something great to happen in your life.  Don’t lose your expectation.  Don’t allow life, or people, to take that expectation away.
We serve a God that delights in giving us good things.

As a matter of fact there’s promises from the Lord that tell us to expect blessings to come our way.

He says in Malachi 3:10

Bring all the tithes (the tenth) into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this,” says the Lord of hosts, “if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you [so great] a blessing until there is no more room to receive it.”

The sowing principle is simple. When you give, you can expect the windows of heaven to open up and release a blessing over you.   God says, you give, you can expect me to bless you.  You can expect me to pour.  When you sow a seed, you should expect breakthroughs to happen in your life, in your business, in your finances, in your ministry, in your family, and every area of your life.

Do not live your life without expectation.  Expectation comes from God.  God causes us to expect certain things to happen.  He uses expectation to cause good things to happen in our life. You do your part, He will do His part.

Imagine when people heard that Jesus was coming to their village.  They had an expectation of healings and miracles and deliverances.  They welcomed Him.  They pressed upon Him and tried to touch Him to get healing.  They expected something when He came.  When we gather together to worship in a meeting or a service, we should expect Him to show up.  Come to church expecting something.  Don’t just come to church because you have to, open up your heart when the word is preached.  Expect to receive a fresh touch, a fresh anointing, when the preacher releases the word.

When you get up to preach or release the word, men and women of God, expect God to use you.

Expect miracles and breakthroughs! Show up with expectation!

Expect great things during your time of ministry.

Expect signs and wonders to happen!

If you expect something, and the people expect something, God will show up!

When a woman is pregnant, she is expecting, by the ninth month she is expecting to have that child!  There is an expectation that is created inside of her, it builds and grows.  After she has been carrying this baby for months, there is an expectation for the delivery time.  Until that delivery time, she will remain expectant.  There is a timing to this expectation.

It is important that you do not lose expectation or hope.  When you wake up tomorrow morning, wake up with expectation.  Go about your day with expectation in your heart.  Don’t allow any negative feelings or thoughts to gain ground in your life.  Expel them and ask God to fill that place with great expectation.

Hope deferred makes the heart sick, But desire fulfilled is a tree of life.” Proverbs 13:12

Don’t just expect the normal.  Expect God to do miracles in your life.  God is able, you should expect His abundance in your life.

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.” Ephesians 3:20

He will do something unusual and great in you and through you!    You should expect to live in favor and have monumental breakthroughs in your life.  Expect to receive favor everywhere you go.  God will open doors and pour out favor over you and make you prosper.

Today I decree:

  • Your expectation will not fail!
  • Your expectation will come to pass.
  • You will have your expectation fulfilled.
  • He will give you the things you are expecting.
  • In His time, you will receive the thing you are expecting.
  • The Lord will cause expectation to stir within you.
  • You will see expected results in your business, finances, ministry, and family.

You need to walk in expectation in order to receive the bountiful blessings the Lord wants to release to you.    What are expecting this week? This month? This year?  Expect this will be your reward season.  The blessings of the Lord will overtake you and great favor will be released over your life.
