Your destiny awaits your obedience 1

Welcome to Impact University.

The Lord gives you courage to make decisions to step into your destiny.  One of the greatest examples of this courage is the book of Ruth.

You can read this incredible journey in Ruth 1.  This family suffered so much transition and loss.  At this time, the Lord called Ruth and Naomi to migrate to step into their new season. Naomi feels totally out of control and is in so much pain, and is so open and clear with Ruth and Orpah.  This crisis called them to step up to chose for themselves.  To make up their minds.

So Naomi returned, and Ruth the Moabitess, her daughter in law, with her, which returned out of the country of Moab: and they came to Bethlehem in the beginning of barley harvest.” Ruth 1:22

Ruth was a Moabitess. Her mother-in-law Naomi was a Hebrew. Ruth made a decision after her husband died to follow Naomi to the land of Judah.

And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:” Ruth 1:16

She migrated from a place of desolation and loss to a place of blessing and restoration. Her decision to migrate would be life changing. She would come into a strange land with nothing. She would meet Boaz, and become the matriarch of David the king.

Ruth migrated to Bethlehem. She migrated to the place where Christ would be born. She moved from a nation with no covenant to a covenant people. She decided to follow the God of Israel.

And all the people that were in the gate, and the elders, said, We are witnesses. The Lord make the woman that is come into thine house like Rachel and like Leah, which two did build the house of Israel: and do thou worthily in Ephratah, and be famous in Bethlehem: And let thy house be like the house of Pharez, whom Tamar bare unto Judah, of the seed which the Lord shall give thee of this young woman. So Boaz took Ruth, and she was his wife: and when he went in unto her, the Lord gave her conception, and she bare a son. And the women said unto Naomi, Blessed be the Lord, which hath not left thee this day without a kinsman, that his name may be famous in Israel. And he shall be unto thee a restorer of thy life, and a nourisher of thine old age: for thy daughter in law, which loveth thee, which is better to thee than seven sons, hath born him.” Ruth 4:11-15

The blessing came upon Ruth.

God would make her like Rachel and Leah. Her house would be like the house of Pharez (breakthrough). Because of her marriage to Boaz, Naomi would be restored, and nourished in her old age. Ruth’s life was restored, and she became the happy mother of a patriarch in the line of Christ. Her decision to migrate hanged her destiny. She would have died in obscurity in Moab, if she would have remained.

  • God gave a Ruth favor.
  • God opened the heart of Boaz to love her.
  • God positioned her to meet him, and then marry him.
  • God honored her decision to follow Him.
  • God will give you favor in your migrations too.
  • God will connect you to the right people.

You will have to migrate out of places of bondage, out of places of pain, out of places of hopelessness and fear.  The Lord will have you break free from old seasons and religious systems that you may have gotten comfortable with.

Do not conform to the old patterns, old structures, old attitudes, old anything! Don’t stay in these places.  God wants to you to be transformed.

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.  Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.”  Romans 12:2

Ask yourself:

  • What is God speaking to you?
  • How is He trying to deliver you?
  • What changes need to happen in your life?
  • What do you need to surrender?
  • What will it take to be transformed?

Your destiny awaits your obedience.  You will receive healing.  You will be nourished.  You will have the favor of the Lord.   You will be restored. I release courage over you right now.

Your promises are waiting for your decisions.
