Family: God’s Plan

Family: God’s Plan 1

Welcome to Impact University!

God moves through families. A family united and seeking the plans of God and committed to the ways of God is powerful. A family that loves Jesus and pursues His presence, His plans and purposes is beautiful. God has a plan for each husband and wife. God has a plan for children, teens, and all of our relatives.

The family is God’s method of launching Kingdom culture into the earth.

The Master Creator had a desire. He wanted to have a family. He created Adam as His son. He created someone to carry His nature, His identity, and most importantly, to have relationship with Him. Adam was His prized creation, yet there was a void. Adam needed something more. He needed someone to share His life with, so God began creating the family of Adam.

The Father took one of Adam’s ribs and created His soulmate! Eve was created to be Adam’s wife. This example was to be the role model for all creation. A man and his bride, created to live in the presence of God as His son and daughter.

They would reproduce and have children of their own. Together, they were destined to serve God as a family.

God’s first intent was not to create a ministry or a church, but a family. It is so easy to get busy with all of life’s tasks and assignments that we can become distracted from the call to family.

God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

Genesis 1:28

We are a design inside of His design.

God divided His nature into two natures for the family. Moms don’t make good dads and dads were not meant to be moms. It has always been a part of God’s design that the family would be nurtured by two natures. Anytime you have only one, it’s outside of God’s design.

Through fathers we learn who we are, how to lead, guide, and protect. We learn the model of manhood and family. We see the love of God through him. They shape our identities. Today, I remind you, that regardless of your relationship with your earthly father or mother, you are the son or daughter of the Almighty.

“What can you do to promote world peace? Go home and love your family.”

Mother Teresa, Nobel Peace Prize Winner

The enemy is ruthless! He comes to tear away at the fabric of covenant love in families. He wants to steal, kill, and destroy!

The Lord‘s loving kindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail. They are new

every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.”

Lamentations 3:22-23

I want to encourage you to have FAITH!

God has a plan for you and your family.

Have FAITH to:

  • Faith to Touch and Agree
  • Faith to Stand
  • Faith to Believe
  • Faith to Seek
  • Faith to Speak
  • Faith to Not Waiver
  • Faith to Fight
  • Faith to Praise
  • Faith to Worship
  • Faith to Decree

God is faithful! His encouragement is there when you need it the most. Sometimes you have to search harder to find it, but it is there. God continued to comfort us through this journey of faith, to protect and encourage us, and to send people into our lives to strengthen our faith.

When you are standing for a loved one, it is a fight of faith! Faith is the ability to stand upon the promise of God and boldly declare His promise in spite of opposition. Don’t give up!

Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine

upon thy ways.”

Job 22:28

Make this Decree Over your Home:

Lord, I thank you for my home and family. I dedicate my entire family to you, in Jesus’ name. I claim every family member saved. I plead the blood of Jesus over my house and my family. I claim your health, your protection, and your peace, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

But from everlasting to everlasting the Lord’s love is with those who fear him, and his

righteousness with their children’s children.”

Psalm 103:17

This is a powerful scripture. It reveals the generational nature of God. God has plans that span the generations. Our obedience today greatly impacts several generations. Each one of us are leaders. Each one of us has a role to play. Each one of us matters in the destiny of the generations!

We need to stand and believe for generational blessings and godly inheritance.
