The Lord wants you to be blessed! There are many important keys in the Bible that outline to us basic principles for us to walk in to release blessings on our lives. One of those is sowing and reaping. When you give, you are coming in agreement with the Lord to release the rain and multiplication over your life.
You will be blessed!
Giving is a way to be blessed in the land. God commanded Israel to give when they were in the land. This is one of the primary increase keys. Stingy people are not blessed people. They are holding onto what they should be sowing!
Too many saints get scared when the offering plate passes by them. The spirit of greed grabs their hands and clinches their money tight. When they finally let go of it, they feel as though they are losing something! The devil is a liar.
You never lose when you plant.
You always plant with an excitement and expectation of harvest.
This is why the farmer labors so hard. They are not solely focused on the seed; they are focused on the harvest that is coming.
Giving is an increase principle.
Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the first-fruits of your harvest unto the priest: “
Leviticus 23:10
Giving will cause the devourer to be rebuked from your land. Giving will break the famine in your land.
It is counter-intuitive to sow in a time of famine, yet it is God’s recipe for a breakthrough miracle. The believer who understands this will never live in famine! There may be moments, but they will sow and worship their way out of lack.
A few years ago I had a businessman that attended my church. He was a faithful giver and a great member. He requested a meeting with me, which was totally out of his character. I had to wonder what in the world was going on. Was he under attack? Did he need wise counsel or insight? Was he offended? My mind was swirling trying to figure it out. When I arrived, he shared with me that his business was under severe attack. My heart was moved with compassion and faith arose in my spirit to decree a breakthrough for him. He asked me to pray, but before we did he told me that he only knew of one way out of financial trouble, and that was sowing. As a step of his faith, he handed me a huge seed for the ministry. What would happen if believers operated like that on a consistent basis? I believe their famine would be very short lived and supernatural rain and harvest would come forth speedily. After the man sowed that seed, his business turned around and the attack was broken.
And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts.”
Malachi 3:11
God promised to rebuke the devourer from the land. Insects and plagues devour the crops and destroy the land. The Good Land is a land free from these devourers. Our land is blessed. There
are no devourers in our land. We expect the help of Heaven and the increase of God. We can see this clearly in the Book of Joel. An army of locusts came to devour the land.
That which the palmerworm hath left hath the locust eaten; and that which the locust hath left hath the cankerworm eaten; and that which the cankerworm hath left hath the caterpillar eaten.”
Joel 1:4
I am convinced that many saints are just dry. Their provision has dried up and they are frustrated. Frustration is dangerous. This is why we need daily refreshing in the presence of God.
We need the mighty rain of God.
We need the washing of the water of the word of God.
We need the rivers of living water to burst forth in our lives.
The Good Land is not a dry, parched ground. It is an abundant place. It is a fruitful place. It is a place where the cleansing rain pours down and waters the seed. It is a place where the climate is right for harvest.
- An abundance of rain is coming over your land.
- The Lord will release a bumper crop on your land.
- There will be no famine, no drought in your land.
- The heavens are open over your land.
- The devourer is rebuked from your land.
- The locust, the cankerworm, palmerworm or caterpillar will not devour your land.
As you have sown and been faithful, believe the Lord for your season of abundance. You will enter into fruitfulness, favor, and provision like you’ve never known before. I agree with you, and I decree it over you in Jesus name!
