Seasons change

All of us will go through different seasons in our lives.  

One of the most dangerous things you can do that will sabotage your success in life is to miss your season.  Knowing the season the Lord has you in is a big part of being successful.  

One of the keys to success in life is to know when you have shifted into a new season.  

We also will go through many changes, we all do.  When you are in a new season you must shift.  If you do not shift, you can get stuck in the old season. 

You have got to operate from a higher purpose in your life. 

Don’t waste your time pursuing things, position, fame, money, people, success or wealth. 

No matter what you have been through or what has happened, God is with you.   He is for you. He turns your losses into gains.   You need to learn to trust Him in the timing and seasons of your life.

In Ecclesiastes we read:

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heaven..”

Ecclesiastes 3:1

Sometimes in life, we can ask many questions.

We ask God –

• Why are we here?
• What is my purpose?
• Why did this happen?
• Why do bad things happen to good people?
• Why do the wicked prosper?
• What is next?
• WHEN?

We all have asked these questions at one point or another.

Well in the book of Ecclesiastes, many of these questions have already been asked.  You don’t have to waste time trying to figure it out. 

When you go through changes, it can be a confusing time. You may not understand what is going on. That is because you don’t understand the season you are in.  So it can be challenging to understand why things change. It may be a new season in your life. 

In many cities, you may have four seasons of the year – Spring, summer, fall and winter. Each one of these seasons bring with it different weather and change. Every time there is a change in the season, you have to change the way you dress, the way you drive, the way you live.  When the season changes, the weather changes, and you have to make some transitions.  You cannot live in the winter the way you live in the summer.  You cannot live in the summer the way you live in the winder.  It’s a different season. 

I have said this often that one of the worst things that can happen to a person is that they are stuck in the old season.  People can get stuck spiritually. Churches, pastors, leaders, they can become outdated or irrelevant because they don’t change.

It takes discernment to know when you need to change.

As seasons change, relationships change.  Some people from your past are not going to go into your new season.  Even if you want to figure out a way to carry them with you, they cannot go.  They were good for you for your old season, but not in your new season

Behold, the former things have come to pass,
And new things I declare;
Before they spring forth I tell you of them.”

Isaiah 42:9

This new thing, this new season will happen in every area of your life.

• Your business
• Your family
• Your ministry
• Your life
• Your children

Ask the Lord to help you discern when a season is changing in your life. 

When you know the season you will know when to plant, when to sow and then when to harvest.  You will know what to do in the season and you will know what not to do.

-What shift do you need to make? 

-What needs to change in your life?
