Value your dreams

Value your dreams 1

Welcome to Impact University!

Each one of us needs a Dream from God. Our Dreams will keep us going through the storms of life.

Dreams bypass the mind and our own agendas – our spirits never sleep – God’s Word is well able to minister to our hearts even when we sleep.

“For God may speak in one way or in another. Yet man does not perceive it. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls upon men, while slumbering on their beds, then He opens the ears of men, and seals their instruction. In order to turn man from his deed, and conceal pride from man, He keeps back his soul from the pit, and his life from perishing by the sword.”

Job 33:14-18

He will show you what Glory looks like in the dream realm and cause you to manifest it in reality.

  • Dreams reveal Gods’ glory.
  • God will reveal His power through dreams.
  • Dreams about your ministry and your future.
  • Dreams will prompt you to do things that bring His name glory.

Your Dreams are Valuable.

The first thing to do when we have received a pure Holy Spirit dream is to value it enough to write it down, lest even one morsel be lost and forgotten in time. When we treasure His Word enough to write it down, it proves that we truly value it. Time fades everything, especially the memory of details. Our faithfulness to write the pure, God given dream down as soon as we wake, is very important.

Abram’s descendant Jacob experienced a desert sleep, which allowed him to see a heavenly stairway that joined the gateway of heaven to an entrance point on earth. The Lord’s angelic messengers were ascending and descending upon the ladder delivering the Lord’s prophetic declarations and visions to Jacob as he slept. Genesis 28:10–17 is an account of this heavenly event.

Jacob was able to feel and sense the powerful presence of the glory realm that was deposited in the natural realms of earth. He presented a memorial offering in honor of God’s visitation. Jacob left that place with an assurance that God was with him, and was watching over him to direct his path as he journeyed through life.

To know the path to our future and destiny we only have to embrace the dreams God gives. Out of the obscure will rise the clear, out of the dark chaos will rise the light of a new day dawning, and out of a dream will rise our destiny.

God-given dreams of destiny and success will empower us to conquer our mistakes and nightmares of the past.

Dreams can reveal the inner condition of the soul. Dreams can reveal hurt, rejection and bitterness toward certain people who appear in your dreams.

I recommend that you seek to understand your dreams. Why? Because you know yourself the best. When God speaks to you, He uses things you are familiar with. He will use certain landmarks, people and even our occupations to trigger certain emotions or thoughts related to your dreams. It is important to remember that most dreams you have are concerning you. You can have dreams about other people and the church at large, but the majority of dreams experienced in your lifetime relate to you directly.

When God wants to do something new in your life, He will often give you a dream.

  • Joseph was separated from his brothers because of his dreams.
  • Paul was directed to Macedonia in a night vision. (Acts 16:9)

We all must sleep. Our bodies and minds require seasons of rest and, therefore, of vulnerability. We become open to stirrings that we do not initiate. Such stirrings come to us in the night unhindered. Dreams address us. They invite us beyond our natural ideas and plans.

“I sleep, but my heart waketh: it is the voice of my beloved that knocketh, saying, Open to me, my sister, my love, my dove, my undefiled: for my head is filled with dew, and my locks with the drops of the night”

Song of Solomon 5:2

You can sleep, but your heart can be awake.

God has your full attention at night when you dream.

Remember:

  • Your dreams are so valuable and they are important.
